====== Kyocera GRATINA KYF44 ====== A model targeted towards corporate users for wp>KDDI. This model has a version with the camera removed as well as the SD card slot disabled. This phone also features the same SoC as the .:kyocera_digno_keitai_4:, but seems to have the body of the .:kyocera_gratina_kyf42:. Due to the SoC it may be possible to root the phone with MTKClient or by other means. ===== Specs ===== ^ Phone ^ KYF44[(https://www.kyocera.co.jp/prdct/telecom/office/phone/lineup/feature-phone/kyf44/)] ^ KYF44 (no camera/SD card)[(https://www.kyocera.co.jp/prdct/telecom/office/phone/lineup/feature-phone/kyf44/models/)] ^ ^ CPU | MediaTek Helio A22 2.0GHz quad-core (one core is disabled) || ^ RAM | 1 GB || ^ Internal storage | 8 GB || ^ External storage | microSDHC officially supporting up to 32 GB | SD card slot disabled | ^ Battery | 1,500mAh (removable) || ^ Battery model | KYF36UAA || ^ Primary display | 3.4" TFT 854x480 || ^ External display | 0.9" OLED || ^ Camera | 8MP | None | ^ Operating system | ? || ^ Durability ratings | IPX5/IPX8/IP5X, MIL-STD-810H || ^ Dimensions | 51×112×17.9mm || ^ Release date | August 1st, 2024[(https://www.kyocera.co.jp/newsroom/news/2024/002504.html)] || ^ Colors | Black || ==== Connectivity ==== ^ Radios[(https://www.au.com/content/dam/au-com/support/service/mobile/procedure/simcard/unlock/compatible_network/images/compatible_network_91c035248a6a9544.pdf)] ^^ ^ 4G bands (LTE) | 1, 3, 18 | ^ 3G bands (W-CDMA) | 1 | ^ 2G bands (GSM) | Unknown | ^ Miscellaneous[(https://www.kyocera.co.jp/prdct/telecom/office/phone/lineup/feature-phone/kyf44/)][(https://biz.kddi.com/service/mobile/product/kyf44/spec/)][(https://www.kyocera.co.jp/prdct/telecom/office/phone/lineup/catalog_kyf44.pdf)] ^^ ^ Calling |VoLTE | ^ Wi-Fi |2.4GHz: IEEE802.11b/g/n | ^ Bluetooth |5.1 | ^ Ports | USB-C | ^ Tethering | Up to ten devices | ^ Other features | GPS, FM radio | === Audio over USB-C === The USB port on the device exclusively uses "Audio Accessory Mode" for audio, which only allows audio as an analog signal[(https://www.soundguys.com/usb-audio-explained-18563/)]. This boils down to the device not supporting audio cables that have a DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter) anywhere within them. Many USB-C to 3.5mm adapters have a DAC built into them, and will not function. Adapters of without DACs may be found online, but may not advertise this. Inline remotes have yet to be tested. ===== Operating system ===== Kyocera releases source code for the kernel and open source components of the operating system.
